Adopt a Alaskan Malamute (long coat)

Alaskan Malamute (long coat) Dog

SURSEE the Dog needs a home

Sursee was surrendered to the shelter due to attacking a small dog. According to the previous owners, they had only had Sursee for a short time and were watching the dog until a proper home could be found. The previous owners said that Sursee does well with children and people, but does not do well with other dogs. They also say that Sursee prefers to spend the majority of her time outside and has primarily been an outdoor dog. In the shelter environment, Sursee has kept her kennel clean, but may need a housebreaking course in her new home. Sursee has also shown some prey drive towards smaller animals while at the shelter which would indicate she has a high prey drive. A home without cats and small animals would be ideal. Sursee should NOT go to a home with other dogs, she was temperament tested while at the shelter and does display some reactivity especially towards high energy dogs. For more information please speak with an animal tender about Sursee''s behavior!
